Girls!

So, about a month ago, we went to visit one of my oldest friends, Renee, and her hubby, Abe, so we could meet their new baby, Mylee.

Our friend Melissa and her baby, Sadie, came too, and between Renee, Melissa and I, we've all been friends for just under 30 years.  What's really fun, is they both have little girls (4 months apart), and our little girl will be born about 5 months after Mylee.  So, they WILL be bestest buddies when they get a little older!

I'm holding little Mylee, Melissa, Sadie and Renee!

Another of our really good friends, Becca, has a little girl (Elise) who is just over a year now, so all 4 of the girls will be rather close in age!  We'll have to take a picture of all 8 of us once our little girl is born :)

Registry

So, I've started registering....  at two places, one a major chain and the other amazon.com.... seriously I cannot believe how much stuff is required for babies!  We have a whole bunch on the registries, but a lot of stuff has to be researched to be sure we get what we think is the best.  oh man, my head has been hurting the last couple weeks figuring this all out!

But, we've got a good start going, and we picked up a cheap pack n play this week, so I feel like we are actually making progress to bringing our future baby home.  Now, if we could just get the room cleaned out so we could set up the crib!  Wouldn't that be a big step? :)

Kicky-Punchy

Okay, so I know we've told people how active the little baby is...  but I can't believe how much she moves.  And since this is my (our) first pregnancy, I don't really know how she compares to anyone else.  Except my mom told me all three of her kids sat there quietly and patiently waited to come out. hmmmmm

So, our little baby is active when I drink anything warm (most mornings), anything really cold, anything sweet, anything unusual, or if I have a seatbelt on, am sitting too far forward, move too much, when the doctor put his hand on my belly to feel the uterus last month, etc etc.  I think you get the idea.  She is constantly moving, and started at 17 weeks.  I first felt her kick (HARD!) in Kansas when I was visiting my sister back in September.  Poor David has only felt her kick a handfull of times, and probably won't feel her too much for a while, because her new thing is to kick straight down.  Weirdest feeling ever!

Just a couple days ago she actually kicked straight down and punched (I really don't know what she's doing in there, she could just be punching the whole time for all I know) into my belly at the same time.  More then once too.

While her movements are a little nutty, it makes me feel better to feel her so often :)
